Chevy truck came in with came SES light, found a P0101 code MAF sensor out of range. What is the logical first step in diagnosing the vehicle?*
- Go to the computer and find the diagnostic flow chart for diagnosing a P0101.
- Change fuel filter
- Make sure the batteries in the scanner are good
- Replace MAF sensor

Driver is losing air pressure while brakes are applied in an air supplied braking system. You should first:*
- Make sure the air gate cylinder isn’t leaking
- Make sure the air compressor belt isn’t broken
- Ask for a helper and have them listen for audible air leaks outside of the vehicle.
- Adjust the slack adjusters on all axles

Driver comes to you and says their truck is low on coolant. You go out and look at the truck and do not see any visible coolant leaks on the ground. You open the hood and the coolant reservoir is completely empty. You should:*
- Top off the coolant and send the driver out to the jobsite
- Down the truck, ask the driver to write it up, and bring the truck into the shop and pressure test the coolant system to find the source of the leak
- The engine temperature is cold now and the level will come up after it is warmed up
- Tell him this truck always leaks and don’t worry about it

Looking back at our earlier example of our air brake leak, you found that the maxi pancake was worn and leaking air. You need to replace the pancake. The safest first step before removing the maxi to gain access to the pancake is to:*
- Release the brakes and take the clamps loose
- Using the foot valve, release all the air pressure from the braking system
- Set the trailer brakes
- Cage the maxi using a caging bolt before doing anything else

Driver states that the bed hoist is not working and they cannot dump their load. You have verified that the power control head for the hydraulics is on and working. What is the next logical step for you to check? Select all that apply.*
